Arper at Orgatec 2016 -

“Soft Contract” Special

Orgatec (Cologne, 25 to 29 October 2016) is a significant international platform for Arper to present its unique brand value in the vast workplace segment. "Visions of Work,” the title of the brand’s 2016 Orgatec exhibition, embodies the essence of the debate among industry professionals and the design explorations happening today around the workspace. Arper, for its part, references the continued relevance of discussing the evolution of the way we work through its exploration of the “Soft Tech” concept.

The concept of “Soft Contract” initially presented by Arper two years ago will be taken to a higher level at Orgatec for 2016. Design solutions, inspired by high-design, beauty and flexibility, are adaptable to different settings, as the boundaries between living and working spaces are increasingly blurred. They share a focus on high functionality and technological innovation.

Arper’s 330 m² stand (pavilion 10.2, stand J-19 / K-18) at Orgatec represents the company’s vision for the essentials: balance, color, intuition, play, lightness, and versatility - qualities that characterize not only the company itself, but also its products from past to present.

The new version of the Parentesit acoustical panels, available in round, square and oval, enhances a variety of spaces through decorative expressions in color and form. The panels can be customized with the addition of speakers and ambient lighting, and these new features can be managed through a dedicated smartphone app, also designed by Arper and available on the iTunes store. Similarly, the new freestanding version of Parentesit allows the stylish panels to become an architectural element providing privacy and comfort

The new, adaptable Meety table system, designed by Lievore Altherr Molina, offers multiple configurations. The wide choice of tops and legs can create tables tailored to the individual needs within the workplace. Meety’s solutions range from large conference tables, trapezoidal or bar soap shaped, to small round tables for informal meetings. The range was initially introduced at the Salone del Mobile in Milan in April will be presented with new finishes at Orgatec.

Another big introduction is new color collections and materials for Arper’s internationally bestselling chair line, Catifa. The two-color variation of Catifa 46 is refined by the introduction of a range of pastel tones, allowing vivid contrasts or striking monochrome statements. Smooth leather and matte surfaces characterize the new Catifa 53. Both updates reflect Arper’s characteristic clarity and specific point of view in style.

The two new table models Wim and Yop represent designs that are pared down to the bare essentials. Initially presented at Milan’s Salone del Mobile in April, their versatility will be showcased at Orgatec: as individual tables or in groups, in commercial spaces, offices or homes, matched with any Arper chair collection. The Yop tables can be easily folded, are stackable and can be stored to save space.
