Belgian touch-sensitive light switch Sentido wins Good Design Award in US

The Belgian company Basalte won with its touch-sensitive light switch Sentido the world’s most recognized mark for public design excellence: “The GOOD DESIGN Award”.

The GOOD DESIGN award was founded in Chicago in 1950 and remains the world''s oldest and most significant awards program that honours new and important design produced around the world.

This year the Chicago Athenaeum awarded several awards, one of which went to Sentido. This touch-sensitive light switch, which integrates with KNX smart home systems, allows you to control everything in the house with one single touch. It is divided into two or four equal surfaces, each with its own functionalities. The entire surface of Sentido is touch-sensitive, creating an innovative and unique user experience. Lights, curtains and blinds can be operated even at the slightest touch. Touching more than one surface at the same time, turns on and off all the lights

in a room using a general scene. This multi-touch function makes light control highly intuitive and user-friendly. Sentido also has an internal temperature sensor, that discretely reports the temperature to the home automation system.
