NEW: sideboard with long legs by BD Barcelona Design
We have been in touch with BD Barcelona Design’s art director Ramón Úbeda for a couple of years now
We discussed ideas that have matured and resulted into the buffet we crafted. We were inspired by the idea of an Aquarium to create this piece’, explains Fernando Campana. Humberto continues: ‘We love to create hybrids using two different materials; a warm one and a cold one. It has become part of our design language. I wanted to play with the idea of opposite weights too; the lightness of the glass and the massiveness of the wood. The immaterialness of the first one and the physicalness of the second one’. And Fernando adds: ‘The sideboard is made out of wood, ash or pinewood, and colored glass doors. There are glass shelves inside the buffet in order to let the light and the transparency of the material. Two different color versions will be available
