Milano, 17th – 22nd April, 2018 - Calia Italia, leading upholstered furniture company Made in Matera, will attend the 2018 Milan Salone del Mobile from 17th to 22nd April with an amazing layout, conceived and designed by arch. Saverio Calia, Marketing and Development General Manager, which stands out for the elegance of the materials, lightings and décor panels employed.

Calia Italia’s display area - Hall 14, Stand A43 – keeps on being the perfect portrait of the company located in Matera, thanks to a delicate game of shapes and elegant details. Visitors entering the exhibition area become part of a harmonic concept and main characters of a storytelling, surrounded by giant posters portraying suggestive images of the Sassi and the Murgia area around Matera, showing hidden, unexplored corners that reflect the company’s identity with a view at promoting the territory and Matera 2019, European Capital of Culture.

The architecture within the showroom is characterized by a sequence of different environments marked by side scenes ranging from ochre to green, yellow and dove-grey, recalling the covers of the sofas and chairs on display, a visual pathway reproducing the Murgia landscape and the Sassi to further enhance the atmosphere and the new products.

The aesthetic motifs that have always distinguished the company’s identity and values have been reinterpreted in a modern, innovative way through the architectonic project of the stand, that evokes the concept in a perfect balance between craftsmanship and design.

During the most important design and furniture international event, new models such as the Jacob, Lazy, Paride, Fleur, Toy, Viktor and Dedalo will be introduced, sofas and chairs that enrich and complement the company’s always evolving offer. The new additions will in fact perfectly embody Calia Italia’s vocation, a true expression of the Made in Italy from Matera.

The Giuggiola easy chair will definitely be in the spotlight, being the outcome of a partnership started during 2016/2017 between Calia Italia and La Sapienza University in Rome within the Industrial Design Degree Courses. A youth-enterprise creative contagion that gave birth to an unconventional, singular design item that will hold our soul, our thousand souls, taking care of our feelings and offering moments of absolute relaxation.
