CERAMICA CIELO is celebrating its tenth birthday with a significant operation: Mittel Spa, a listed investment company of the Investment Merchant Bank is investing in the Company’s share capital, as a preferred choice for the creation of a hub of excellence in the bathroom furnishing sector, a type of operation that is rather unique in Italy. This strategic choice will further boost CIELO’s national and international development, which has already started reaping success. Alessio Coramusi, the founding partner of CERAMICA CIELO, will remain the CEO and stakeholder of the company.
Having based its success on a consolidated heritage of history and traditions, the Company has become an authentic Made in Italy label, adressing the upper class of the market. It ended 2016 with a growth of over 20% and an overall turnover of more than 19 million euro. These extraordinary figures are absolutely a counter-trend with respect to the market: a performance of exceptional results achieved in a historical period that is undergoing a strong downtrend in the furnishing sector.
Mittel Spa’s participation in the share capital is a sign of its recognition of the remarkable quality and design of CIELO’s products that are an authentic interpretation of contemporary life, a trend-setter for the future and an absolute benchmark in the global furnishing sector.

A feeling of synergy was immediately created between us and Mittel’s president, Engr. Rosario Bifulco, a top level manager and entrepreneur, and when we illustrated the expansion and aggregation project among companies in the furnishing sector, they bet their stakes on us and in the industrial plan we presented.
The objective is to grow, invest, develop, and why not, acquire new brands that have similar aims and wish to work in synergy with us, so that we can be increasingly strategic and innovative partners for our clients, in order to create – through CIELO – an example as one of the first Italian groups in the bathroom furnishing design sector to undertake such operations.
For us, Italy is the first market and we intend to make it grow and consolidate further, and our international projects will be equally ambitious.
This strategic step will allow the Company to develop an ambitious and innovative industrial plan through important investments on both the national and international markets. The focus is now on various fronts. As to the foreign market we are studying the possibility of opening a show-room in London, and have entrusted to an American law firm the task of constituting a USA CIELO branch. At the same time we have launched projects to increase our production capacity, forecasting investments in systems and machinery along with an extension of the production site by about 10,000 sq m.
