The Óptica Medica Rógerio chooses Jujube chairs by Chairs & More for its store in Porto

A new project brings the successful Jujube collection, designed by 4P1B Design Studio for Chairs & More, in Porto, Portugal, inside an elegant commercial space.

The client is the Óptica Medica Rógerio, a store chain of optical products, which for its new shop in Rua das Flores, has chosen to entrust the restoration and interior design project to Amedeo Mandolesi and Tiago Castro of the architectural office xyz Arquitectos Associados.

The Óptica Medica Rógerio in Porto is located along a strategic road connecting the Ribeira river area with the S. Bento station, a street that has been experiencing a remarkable renewal process in recent years, thanks to the many recreational and commercial activities that are progressively settling in the zone.

For this store, the architects have focused, as it was in the wishes of the client, on a simple, contemporary style, but at the same time capable of transmitting the charm of the artisan workshops that once were in the area. The materials that have been selected are very exclusive, such as the chestnut wood of the cabinets, the steel of the counter displays and the waxed cement of the floor.

The 70 square meters of the sales area are developed in length, with four counters where customers can sit on Jujube chairs to complete their purchases. The choice of the black finish for the metal frame of the armchairs gives a new personality to the Jujubes, which matches very well with the colors of the fabrics used for the upholstery of the seat and backrest’s cushions: the yellow recalls the shine of the brass details of the counter displays, and the blue shines in contrast creating an environment in perfect harmony. Once again the Jujube armchairs express their versatility, standing out among the soft tones of the furnishings and finishes.

A successful project, which confirms the great attention that architects and interior designers are giving to the best seller products of Chairs & More, in Italy and abroad, creating interesting opportunities for the company to make its brand known.
