NATIONAL BANK

Custom modifications to meet aesthetic and design standards, Motor with battery back-up to provide emergency egress

A well known national bank was looking for a solution to close off access after hours. Customers would come into the bank to use the ATM machine, but the main teller and advisory area needed to be secured. In addition, if there was a power outage people had to be able to open the grille to allow egress.

We recommended the VistaGard grille, a secure grille that had clear panes providing visibility and extra security to the bank, and the bank liked the idea. As with many national banks and retail stores they had to conform to strict corporate design standards.

We worked closely with the design team to develop clear clips between the grille's panes and a clear anodized closure plate on the bottom so that during business hours when the grille was open, it slipped seamlessly into the ceiling. These aesthetic changes did not affect function, but meant that the design met their standards.

In addition, we recommended the grille be operated by a motor with a battery back-up included. This also provided the assurance that if the power went out and people were still in the back office, they would be able to raise the grille to leave the building.
