DÉSIRÉE INVOLVED IN THE RENOVATION PROJECT OF THE ELEGANT ‘OKREZNA ATTIC APARTMENT’

Désirée, one of the Gruppo Euromobil brands specialising in the production of sofas, armchairs, beds, rugs and complementary items, has been chosen to furnish the ‘Okrezna Attic Apartment”, renovated and converted into a modern dwelling at Sopot, Poland. The choice for this project is the black padded KUBIC 24 bed by Désirée, which creates perfect harmony in the renovated attic.

The project by the Raca Architekci studio began by modifying the shape of the roof in order to create more space in the new apartment. The Okrezna Attic Apartment is located in a 1970s town house in the Polish city of Sopot. Sobriety and elegance are the key words of this project, in which the predominating element of the interior is wood and the ceiling and floor are entirely in natural coloured oiled oak plywood floorboards. The complex geometry of the roof with its different forms and angles has made this challenge even more significant.

The end result is a splendid ceiling of attractive wood that makes an original, singular statement.

This setting is enhanced by modern furniture in black and shades of grey, which create a strong contrast with the light coloured cladding and floor. All the furniture, from the chair to the shelves, the desk and custom-built fitted wardrobe, are ton sur ton for a balanced, harmonious effect.

The space between the wardrobes houses the black padded KUBIC 24 bed by Désirée. The shape created by the bed’s volumes achieves perfection: the low 24cm wide headboard underlines its rational, uncluttered design. The bed carries the signature of designer Roberto Gobbo and the company’s R&D team and features essential shaping for the headboard, which also serves as a practical shelf. The result is functional, attractive and coherent with the other elements in the bedroom decor.

Being one of the suppliers for the ‘Okrezna Attic Apartment’ is another important reference for Désirée, whose policy it is to strive constantly to meet contemporary living needs.
