Athens Conservatoire project

Athens Conservatoire project | Dinamica Ballet

The Athens Conservatoire is the oldest performing arts institute in Greece. Founded in 1871, the conservatory offers music and drama courses and has the distinction of having taught a number of highly regarded performers over the years.

The current building forms part of a what was meant to have been a cultural complex. Despite construction commencing in 1969, only the conservatory was built and this passed into the hands of the state in 1980. In 2016 the building went through further changes. With a donation from the NEON Organisation for the promotion of contemporary art in Greece, the basement of the Athens Conservatoire was refurbished and used for the first time since construction. The area is now an exhibition space with an amphitheatre.

Within the walls of the Athens Conservatoire, you can find Dinamica Ballet’s ISA height adjustable portable ballet barres.
