In the rooms of the "Residence Apartment" premium category approximately 500m² of mafi Coral Oak white, brushed and white oiled were installed.
Our gaze often wanders onto the floor and here is where the great potential of the mafi Coral Collection is revealed. Even though the cracks come from the tree, they are harmonised during the course of production and then milled by hand.
It is always the family businesses which clearly attract each other. The Gmachl family is known as one of the oldest family run businesses in Austria, and as such we are all the more happy that also the mafi family was allowed to be part of the new project. The hotel itself is a Wellness Hotel **** Superior at the gates of Salzburg.
For this concept Franz Kirchmayr, architect in, you guessed it, his own family business, drew the responsibility.
For us, this design feels like when you run up against a cloud, or better said when you run into one. At the beginning, one is surprised by the brightness when first walking through the door. Off-white runs through the whole interior with discrete lighting and harmoniously matched colour variations rounding off the overall radiance. On a second level, one feels secure and somehow to have arrived – just as one should feel in a Wellness Hotel.
Our gaze often wanders onto the floor and here is where the great potential of the mafi Coral Collection is revealed. Even though the cracks come from the tree, they are harmonised during the course of production and then milled by hand. With the Coral Oak white, the Gmachl family chose also white putty filler which stretches gently in the direction of the planks. Installation and walking direction were combined which leads one right into the hotel room.
Thanks to the white oiled surface, the colours appear more subdued, more matt and fit perfectly into the room. For us, this design is a prime example of how matching colour concepts can be implemented with the Coral Oak and the resulting rooms given a Soul.
