NedZink NOVA COMPOSITE suits a natural atmosphere

Joseph Health Centre in Nederweert (the Netherlands) of Stichting Land van Horne is a modern complex of three interlinked residential blocks. There are 72 residents living here on a small scale. Due to its beautiful location on the banks of the canal, surrounded by large trees, the building is quite suitable for the application of natural and sustainable materials such as glass, brick, aluminium frames and zinc. For the façade and the round corners the architect has chosen NedZink NOVA COMPOSITE. Due to its rigidity, it is easily foldable in large panels without losing the durable and aesthetic properties that characterizes zinc. NedZink NOVA COMPOSITE fits perfectly into the human and natural environment of the care centre. “Some panels are rolled so they can extend around the corner”, says Erwin Smeets, commercial manager at NedZink. “To emphasize the clean look, all NedZink NOVA COMPOSITE sheets are glued, while the varying panel widths give the facade a playful and chic character. In addition, the grey patina also forms a beautiful contrast with the brown tinted brick and multitude of glass.”
