The lovely ''cap'' in NedZink NATUREL

Schagen in Nieuwe Niedorp. The shiny ‘IGH cap'' is covered completely with NedZink NATUREL. “We came up with the idea to cover the upper part of the roof with horizontal lozenges and the bottom part with narrow, vertical standing seam profiles in NedZink NATUREL", says Director George Westgeest of Zinkmeester Elshof Metaaldak in Olst. “This creates a clear transition from high to low. The roof only has a decorative function. This is why we have chosen NedZink NATUREL which develops a natural beautiful patina over time. We spent two months of intensive work on it. The lozenges and standing seam profiles in NedZink NATUREL were prefabricated and mounted with clips on a ventilated wooden substructure. Because no standing seam profile is made the same and they also have a tapered slant, we designed each of them separately and distributed them evenly over the roof. Because we had already gained experience in similar projects, we could work on the steep part from top to bottom without having to walk over the structure. Scaffolding around de steep part of the roof was also not necessary. A good thing for the customer and also perfect for us.”
