Horizontal standing seam system NedZink NATUREL

The Nijlicht multi-tenant office building has exclusive rights in the northernmost point of the Netherlands. Completely autonomous, it towers regally over Eems Harbour in Groning. Remarkably sleek thanks to the lovely play of lines in the horizontal NedZink NATUREL seam bays, combined with large windows and dark spans, the grand, five-storey building appears perfectly compact, rather than overly pompous. René Wubs | architectuur in Loppersum neatly ‘moored’ the building on the first harbour basin at Eems Harbour. Zinc processing company Erkelens Maatwerk in Zink, Koper en Lood from Anderen in Drenthe professionally clad the office building in over one thousand square metres of NedZink NATUREL. A piece of cake, according to owner Hans Erkelens. “We custom-made the NedZink NATUREL panels on site, affixing them to the ventilated wooden substructure. Because it was really simple and straightforward, we were able to put an entire row around the building each day. The project was very successful because of this. I opted for NedZink NATUREL because we really like to work with it a lot. The quality is high, it is easy to work with, and even better, is always readily available.”
