NedZink NOVA and wood: a match made in heaven

Wood and zinc are two natural and sustainable materials that are an ideal match in aesthetic terms. The new office and company cafeteria of the Leegwater wood preparation company in Heerhugowaard (the Netherlands) is another perfect illustration of this. The roofs with NedZink NOVA vertical standing seam systems stunningly complement Leegwater’s anthracite-coloured treated wood, which affords the characteristic premises a contemporary, elegant appearance. A hit for Breddels Architecten from Heerhugowaard, expertly executed by zinc master Ridder Skins for Buildings. “The NedZink NOVA roofs have a ventilated structure and are fitted with a concealed gutter. The fascia boards are also incorporated in the seams,” explains project consultant Dennis Reek from the zinc master Ridder Skins for Buildings. “First we measured everything and then prepared the NedZink NOVA sheets in our workshop in Zwaag. This allows us to minimise the use of hand tools at the construction site. The end result: an impressively smooth NedZink NOVA zinc roof.”
