LOOKING BACK ON 2013: EDWARD BURTYNSKY

An exceptional exhibition that marked our memory in 2013

Trying to sum up a whole year in one building, one project or one idea is impossible. But somehow, Edward Burtynsky‘s 2013 exposition in Toronto comes close. Even though these photographs weren’t taken this year, it’s their compilation and exposition called Water Photography that mattered here. Indeed, these wonderful pictures, taken from the sky, reveal and remind us what the main architectural, urban and human stakes will be for the upcoming years. It reveals all of our conception flaws. It shows how we have altered the land and our environment. But on the other hand what we can get from these amazing photographs is that we have outstanding potential and capacity to make and change things. Let’s hope it’s for the best.
