THE JOURNEY OF THINGS

Part one of an original exhibition at IMM Cologne

The Journey of Things is precisely what its name implies. The exhibition follows the act of making. Objects begin as ideas, an inspiration that leads to a series of intricate processes before yielding a tangible result. At IMM Cologne, The Journey presented a design odyssey from six different design entities: Sarah Illenberger, Milena Kling, Wednesday Paper Works, Brose~Fogale, Studio Hausen and Michel Giesbrecht.

Each designer’s journey is detailed and distinctive. We had previously seen the Camerino Collection from Brose~Fogale, but the unique attention paid to the process brought out a human element that made simple objects at once meaningful and endearing.

The journey presented in Cologne is only part one of the exhibition. There are more stories to tell, but in the meantime, we will let you unfold the narrative through photos.
