A mirror with a hidden light source that reveals a surprising visual effect

At first glance, the Moiré Mirror by Dutch designer Hayo Gebauer appears opaque and reflective – in other words, perfectly ordinary. However, the mirror contains a hidden light source. Once illuminated, the light reveals a lightproof pattern on a second movable disk behind the first. The second disk can be rotated to create a mesmerizing moiré effect.
