DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT: NOÉ DUCHAUFOUR LAWRANCE

The French designer shares his vision and current projects with ArchiExpo at Milan Design Week

Noé Duchaufour Lawrance functions outside of the realm of limitations. That much is clear. Rather than restricting himself to one specific aspect of design, he works across fields and takes on projects ranging from industrial design to scenography and everything in between.

His philosophy does not limit objects as such but rather views them as organic forms that grow and change with the user. “For me, a good product is one that evokes an emotional reaction while meeting a functional need… A product is something to be handled that tells a story and grows with us. I strongly believe in an emotional bond between the product and the user,” he explains.

A former student of the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs and graduate of the École nationale supérieure des arts appliqués in Paris, Noé Duchaufour Lawrance has worked with the likes of La Chance, Petite Friture, Cinna, Galerie BSL, Ligne Roset and Baccarat. When we interview him in Milan, he was presenting a the Arom Chair with Zanotta, one of his long term partners. He also recently designed the gorgeous Ciel chair for Tabisso and participated in an edition of Designerbox.
