Lux cliffside home with a rooftop pool is designed to be energy neutral

If daring luxury homes are your cup of tea, feast your eyes on Aqua Casa, a precariously perched getaway home in the desert.

Morocco-based Bel kharmoudi Aziz unveiled designs for the waterfront home that boasts panoramic ocean views and a large rooftop swimming pool. The building is designed to be net-zero energy and built into the surrounding rocks.

Located in a desert landscape, the Aqua Casa proposal is sited in what appears to be a small oasis dotted with palm trees. The sunken house is made from reinforced concrete and powered by an onsite photovoltaic system. In addition to the impressive rooftop pool that looks like an extension of the ocean, the luxury home is also topped with a helipad.

While stunning, this fanciful home probably won’t be built any time soon. Bel kharmoudi Aziz, a self-taught product and graphic designer, created the design as part of his Behance portfolio.
