studio 06's easel concept receives mention in florim EXHIB-IT competition

turin-based studio 06 architecture was named as an honorable mention for ‘easel’, created for florim’s ‘EXHIB-IT!’ competition.

the contest, hosted by the international ceramic and manufacturing technologies company, called for temporary installations to present products and convey corporate identity at florim’s flagship store (foro buonaparte) in milan.studio 06’s approach uses a classic symbol of artistry, the ‘easel’. the concept displays photographs of various high-profile projects utilizing florim products. simple presentation, using a familiar form, enables the infrastructure to fade into the background while work’s themselves are emphasized.

each ‘easel’ is set on a slightly-raised exposition platform with a diameter of five meters. the floating floor hides all necessary hardware to power a spotlight atop each display. a mobile arm, fixed to the primary load-bearing structure, can accommodate a range of orientations and positions. the now closed ‘EXHIB-IT!’ contest was won by set architects for their proposal BFF016.
