ANNE BOYSEN’S DARING DESIGNS BALANCE FUNCTION AND CREATIVITY

Fun-yet-practical designs from a young Danish designer

Designer Anne Boysen’s extensive work has earned her various awards and recognitions, including the Erik Jørgensen Design Award in 2011, the Danish Design Award for “Talent of the Year” in 2012, the Bolig Magasinet Design Award for “Best Upcoming Designer” in 2013 and the Bo Bedre, Bolig Magasinet & Costume Living Design Award for “Furniture of the Year” in 2014.

To her credit are such collections as LAYER IT, a flexible system of boards that can be used as headboards, bulletin boards and wall installations, available in a variety of shapes and colors.

To her TOWARD collection she recently added “Balanced Blue” and “Pink Lady” – sofas that allows lounging in several different positions.

UMAMI, whose goal was to create a collection with natural materials focusing on shapes, consists of colored oak and concrete dishes for serving and storage.

Following the wood and concrete trend are the clocks in the WATCH OUT line as well as the small decorative houses in ARCH YOU.

And aside from a classic daybed as well as multi-colored, multi-functional stools and tables, Boysen offers an eclectic variety of paintings and drawings to suite almost any taste.
