MILAN 2015: B&B ITALIA GIVES SNEAK PEEK OF LATEST COLLECTION

Salone del Mobile will feature the designer’s newest outdoor furniture

B&B Italia provided a sneak peek of some its latest outdoor pieces, which will be presented at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. Two new outdoor creations by Patricia Urquiola, Fat-Sofa and Butterfly, are especially of note.

The outdoor version of the classic indoor seating system, Fat Sofa features a soft, amply padded seat with a back in an exclusive dove-grey twine pattern of woven twisted polyethylene fiber. Developed to create a sense of lightness and transparency, Fat Sofa engages in dialogue with its surrounding environment.

Butterfly is a family of furnishings consisting of various modular seating elements paired with small tables and low consoles, with the outer corners of the seats bringing to mind the shape of a butterfly.
