The Italian design brand will present their latest collection at the Salone del Mobile 2015
Every year, Moroso asks its designers to draw inspiration from a single word. For 2015, the word was beauty, and the new collection to be presented at next month’s Salone del Mobile takes the form of beauty as seen through the eyes of Ron Arad, nendo and Martino Gamper.
A new stool and playful storage stand marry Japanese designer nendo‘s signature minimalism with Moroso’s off-kilter personality. Both designs fly in the face of visual logic: the Float Stool’s wooden seat hovers above the front legs, while the metallic boxes of the Corners 3 Sided Cube Box seem perform acrobatics atop the thin stand.
Israeli designer Ron Arad brings the colorful Glider sofa to the collection. Also available in a rocking version, the soft, voluminous sofa is dressed in Blur, a color gradient fabric produced exclusively for Moroso by FEBRIK.
Finally, Italian designer Martino Gamper’s St. Mark chair is a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic bistro chair in bright yellow. The legs form a continuous curve with the back for a smooth undulation that updates a traditional design.
