CURVES IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES: SMÅ TING BY JOHANNA PAULSSON

A multifunctional storage solution for tight spaces

Our hectic lives are being contained to smaller and smaller spaces. A table can no longer be content as a simple table. We need a table that doubles as storage! We need multifunctional furniture that plays multiple roles while taking up half the space. Swedish designer Johanna Paulsson’s Små Ting offers a small, convenient solution.

The simple design is made of bent wood, which creates a natural loop in which to store things. Depending on how it is hung, the design can also be used as a shelf, as a coat hook or even used to hang a mirror. It is also extremely compact, so it won’t take up much room. Clever, right?

Paulsson showed her design at the recent Stockholm Furniture Fair as part of the Greenhouse. She currently co-runs the design studio HUS 15 with Robert Nilsson.
