NAKED RACK BY QOWOOD

An elegant and functional clothes rack with a rather cheeky name

When he decided to create his own design brand in 2013, Spanish designer Juan Manuel Gómez already had over twenty years of experience under his belt. It’s therefore unsurprising that one year after QoWood‘s debut, the brand is steadily growing and making its place in the international design scene. Calling upon his own wealth of experience as well as a pool of young up-and-comers, the designer sculpted a prolific and versatile collection from solid wood.

We already presented the elegant and angular Grable Stool, but we are most recently smitten with QoWood’s Naked Rack. Perhaps because of its tongue-in-cheek name that lends itself to naughty puns, but also because of its geometric lines and animal-like characteristics. It’s almost as if the clothes rack could get up and walk out of the room at any moment.

Available in solid Oak or Walnut, the Naked Rack also comes in a variety of sizes. A rusted iron bar provides the perfect line for hanging your clothes, and the entire thing is held together with traditional Mortise and Tenon joints. We only wish that it would be easy to take apart – just in case we need a giant geometric compass for drawing huge circles in the near future.
