LINON CHAIR BY ALBERTO VITELIO
A chair with a geometric structure that steals the show
Sometimes beauty is geometric forms and material simplicity. Such is definitely the case with the Linon Chair by Chilean designer Alberto Vitelio. Made from wood and metal, the chair is defined by the natural materials and a very clear structural identity. Rather than a seat that rests upon self-effacing legs, the seat of the chair seems to spring from the very calculated lines that hold it up. The base becomes the focal point that defines the chair’s overall form. In fact, the wooden seat is so light that, from behind, it almost fades away completely, leaving only a rigid skeleton in its place.
