British designer Joshua Renouf has designed an alarm clock that makes you coffee bedside

If you find it extremely difficult to drag yourself out of bed in the morning, you’re not alone! Thousands (millions?) of people around the world feel the same. Fortunately, there is a solution. We’re not really sure why no one else has thought of a coffee-making alarm clock before, but it just makes so much sense. Or perhaps they have, but none were so perfect as Joshua Renouf’s The Barisieur.

Rather than being woken by the irritating voices of your local morning radio show or by gratingly repetitive sound, the Barisieur gently lifts you from bed with the sound of the stainless steel ball bearings clinking against glass as the water boils through induction heating. Upon waking, you just have to pour the boiling water over coffee grounds placed in a stainless steel coffee filter. Add sugar, milk or your combination of choice and enjoy. No more painful Mondays. Well, that might be stretching it.
