New design manufacturer that is challenging the status quo

You’ve heard of open source software, but open source furniture? TOG is making it possible. Launched at Milan Design Week 2014, TOG (or allcreatorstogether) offers families of products designed by the likes of Philippe Starck, Ambroise Maggiar, Sebastian Bergne, Dai Sugasawa and more. The products are available online and customers can become involved in the conception by choosing their own mix of colors and patterns. Stickers, beads, photos and other personal touches can be added to the naked design products to create unique one-offs. Customers can choose their artist through an online application and the product can either be delivered directly to the customer or downloaded as data to be 3D printed at home. TOG adds a whole new dimension to the design process and strikes the perfect balance between technology and personalization.
