A lighting collection from two complementary design talents

Great things happen when precision collides with intuition. Such is the case with BBxHH, a lighting collection from American designer Bec Brittain and Swedish designer Hilda Hellstrom. The perhaps unlikely duo joined forces to create a collection that combines what they each do best.

Both rising stars in the design world, the two women have rather opposing methods and techniques. While the Brooklyn-based lighting designer prefers careful calculation and a mathematical method, her Swedish counterpart takes a decidedly more organic, hands-on approach.

For BBxHH, they integrated the acrylic-based plaster, Jesmonite, that has become Hellstrom’s signature aesthetic with the angular brass and nickel lines that defines Brittain’s lighting.

The result is seven funky, improbable and delightful pieces are available for sale at Matter!
