A modern lamp handcrafted from granite

Designed by André Simón for his Spanish design studio A/STUDIO, the MIKA 350 pendant lamp rethinks tradition. Rather than a flimsy shade made from synthetic cloth, speckled granite is put through two different turning machines to create a weighty shade that is not visually heavy. To create the granite cone takes around five hours of labor. The granite comes in four different shades and is complemented by hand-crafted, lacquered wood.
