DESIGN CRUSH: VERA & KYTE

A Norwegian design pair that feeds our Nordic design addiction

When it comes to Scandinavian design, we plead the fifth. We love it and want some more of it. Therefore, we were clearly destined to adore the up and coming Norwegian design studio Vera & Kyte. Working across product and interior design, the studio was established by Vera Kleppe and Åshild Kyte, and the duo displayed their work at this year’s Milan Design Week.

From minimal, steel-framed furniture to glass lights and accessories, their collection is colorful and geometric with hints of the Nordic aesthetic that we crave. Their Apparel is a clever room divider and storage solution that offers pegs and bars for hanging clothing and incorporates a mirror.

Their Topiary lamps are perhaps our favorite with their simple steel body that seems somehow delicate and plant-like. They are ultra-simple and the shade can be rotated to reflect or direct the light.

Check out more from their collection below or visit their site for more info (just be warned that there are sphynx cats on the homepage – scary stuff).
