A French duet to return French design back to where it used to be
After their sensational debut in 2012 at Salone del Mobile, the two French founders of La Chance, Louise Breguet and Jean-Baptiste Souletie, are still around and growing. Their avowed purpose is to return French design back to where it used to be and regain its illustrious mantle. That’s why La Chance was created.
With the new brand in hand, their strategy was to ask young up-and-coming French designers as well as other talents from all over the world to design their new collections. Seeking out people with a strong personality paid off quickly. After only 3 years of existence, La Chance has already collaborated with designers such as Dan Yeffet, Lucie Koldova, Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance or Luca Nichetto not to mention many more.
This year, La Chance once again surpassed all expectations in Milan. With 3 new collaborations, the French brand was right on the money again. Needless to say, they’ve not built their success on chance alone. Still using noble materials such as marble, metal or glass, their strategy has paid off once again. This time, designers such as Note Design Studio, V8 and Sebastian Herkner came up with Bougie Dirigo, Carafe Novy Bor and Tables Salute. We can’t wait to see what they’ll present next year!
