The naturally lovely combination of leather and wood gets a boost of functionality

Leather and wood go together like milk and cookies or perhaps a mojito and a sandy beach. Porto-based designers Alexandre Kumagai and Paulo Neves of Studio Gud are particularly gifted with wood, so the addition of leather to their Bolsa Desk was a natural next step.

Designed for Portuguese brand WEWOOD, the Bolsa Desk is inspired by Portuguese saddlebags, called alforge. The addition of leather ‘saddlebags’ to the solid oak desk coincidentally creates an exceptionally perfect place for storing papers, pens, folders, files or maybe even your lunch. Who are we to tell you what to do? All we know is that it works.
