ARPER RELAUNCH OF LINA BO BARDI’S BOWL CHAIR

The Italian design brand relaunches a classic design icon

Originally designed in 1951, modernist architect Lina Bo Bardi’s Bowl Chair represents a certain design spirit and approach that predates industrialization. In fact, the design was never actually industrialized – until now. Arper relaunched the iconic chair, creating a 500-piece limited edition in conjunction with the tour of the exhibition “Lina Bo Bardi: Together”. The Brazilian-Italian architect constantly sought to create a dialogue between object and user by creating flexible designs that encouraged interaction. Arper shares the same principles and, in manufacturing her design, is sharing the impact of Bardi’s design.
