A gorgeous table made from surprising materials

Mélanie Husson is not yet thirty years-old, and she is already creating mind-boggling objects. A graduate of the Ecole Supérieur d’Art et Design in Reims and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle, her Trait d’union table won the Rado Star Prize earlier this year, and we’re frankly not surprised. The table is made out of paper and concrete. A bit unusual but not completely insane. However, the top of the table is made from concrete and the base is made from paper. Logic defying? We think so. The young designer participated in NOW ! Le Off at Paris Design Week and is currently finishing up the Design Tour 2013 in Marseille.
