Amurs

At the Swiss Corner in Milan stops the traveling exhibition that tells of nine projects by Bearth & Deplazes Architekten with photographs by Ralph Feiner and Tonatiuh Ambrosetti.

The exhibition “Amurs” shows 9 works designed by the office Bearth & Deplazes Architekten with images created by the photographers Ralph Feiner and Tonatiuh Ambrosetti.

The practice was founded in Chur in 1988 by Valentin Bearth and Andrea Deplazes. Daniel Ladner has become a third partner since 2005. Explorating typological aspects using contemporary construction techniques, Bearth & Deplazes Architekten have been able to develop innovative work practices. The title “Amurs”, takes its origin from the relations the architects have with their own expectations, reflecting their militant position within the Swiss cultural scene. In addition to private dwellings, the office realized many projects including: the Gantenbein winery in Fläsch (2006), the New Monte Rosa Hut CAS near Zermatt (2009) designed in collaboration with the ETH Zurich Department of Architecture, the headquarters of ÖKK in Landquart (2012), the Federal Criminal Court in Bellinzona (2013) designed in collaboration with architects Durisch + Nolli from Massagno and the Pool, Spa & Sports Centre Ovaverva in St. Moritz (2014) designed in collaboration with architects Morger + Dettli from Basel.
