Flowing shapes, emphasised and flattered by simple yet effective lighting. The Villa Solo in Ukraine is a star in itself, but the right lighting forms the basis for a range of style elements.

Born of the interplay between star and stage

The Villa Solo is an 1800 m² property in a picturesque location on the coast of Odessa, the biggest port in Ukraine. However, although its stunning features are really eye-catching, they still needed an efficient solution to set the scene. The lighting designer opted for PROLICHT luminaires because they could fulfil two purposes – confidently taking centre stage as a style element, or almost unobtrusively illuminating the scene for the star. In the Villa Solo, the lights themselves take a back seat, reduced to a lighting effect, illuminating and accentuating the elegant interior of the property. Simple lighting emphasises the opulent interior and sheds the right light on details of the interior design concept. Exciting shapes and sleek elegance meet in the garage of the Villa Solo. A trimless lighting system provides a perfect framework and skilfully puts the exclusive cars centre stage.

Intelligent illumination with high degrees of individualisation

The complex architectural design (LIK architectural studio) consists of a combination of natural materials such as stone, brick or wood with a lighting design (Expolight) consisting of modern yet simple luminaires and lighting systems from PROLICHT. The state-of-the-art range of products from PROLICHT makes it possible to customise the lights extensively, tailoring them perfectly to personal requirements. The unique PROLICHT palette of 25 colours can also tie in with the widest range of interior design details. This means that these luminaires can integrate harmoniously and smoothly into the architecture of a wine cellar or the fine wood panelling around the fireplace.

A key point of the lighting design was to tailor the various illumination scenarios as closely as possible to a natural light spectrum. A complex solution with intelligent light controls for indoor and outdoor areas, combined with state-of-the-art PROLICHT technologies now enable the owners to choose the perfect lighting mood every day.
