Quinette Gallay is rehabilitating the CFA BTP’s conference hall in Blois, France.

The CFA Bâtiment (Apprentice Training Centre) from Blois, France was opened in 1969. 45 years later – we are in 2014 – the Centre is overused and aging. The reconstruction project is imperative.

The Centre’s area must be redesigned to meet the needs of both students and future employers. “The courses adapt, as do qualification requirements. As for the professional techniques, they have been undergoing major developments lately and our duty is to give young people the skills that companies expect.” – Franck Prêtre, director of the CFA.

Once the application for funding was accepted, the works soon started. Many trades were solicited by tender to construct, build, equip and decorate the 3 hectare site. Now, Quinette Gallay is chosen to manufacture and install the MUMBAI chairs in the CFA BTP amphitheater.

123 seats will be installed in the room so future apprentices can work in the best conditions. MUMBAI is a tip-up chair equipped with a retractable tablet. These features facilitate passage through the aisles and allow to maximize the space while providing pleasant working environment.

The CFA Blois will reopen in September 2016 to train construction professionals.
