Facade made of glassfibre reinforced concret

öko skin by Rieder

Beside many "wood-heavy" traditional and modern houses, you will also find exceptional architectures in the Tyrolean mountains, approaching the mountain context in a slightly different – and sometimes skewed – manner. The single-family house in Tyrol nestles gently on the slope, harmoniously connecting to the surrounding mountain landscape. The öko skin glassfibre reinforced concrete elements by Rieder, which "he und du" architects inserted diagonally, combine tradition with innovation in a clever manner. The dark slats in "liquid black" create a quiet connection to the environment. Several aspects mark the conception of the building: Despite the large cubage, it was attempted to treat the grounds with care and to preserve all the fruit trees on the property. Furthermore, spacious interiors, such as the two-storey kitchen and dining area with gallery, are complemented by rather cavern-like retreat areas, such as the living room with a pine parlour. These varied sequences of rooms are linked by a direct, gorge-like development – at the very top, you will sleep with a view of the treetops.
