Ritmonio “at Giulia’s home”: the Reverso collection in a penthouse in Ancona

A Casa di Giulia

Making functional and more comfortable a 160 m2 flat, on the fourth floor of a building of the Sixties in Ancona, in accordance with the requirements of a family of four, with a pet. For this design target, PLAstudio in Jesi worked on a new concept of the existing spots, bringing them close to those of a loft.

The original structural layout, indeed, foresaw the sequence of nine rooms built according to construction conditions typical of the housing boom. Mainly, the new owners wish to reconsider the living area, moving the helical stairs leading from the living room to the attic – since too bulky – and connecting the kitchen with the living room creating an open space.

This has been solved by using a “box system” setting out the housing path and creating a “liaison “ between the house and objects inside. Spaces, like “objets trouvés”, receive the guest bathroom, the new stair, the laundry room and a part of the kitchen; hiding the master room, the chimney and all technological devices of the living room.

Marked by a continuing glimmer of light on the architrave, the white lacquered wooden boxes create a circular pattern of boards and furniture doors, like a contemporary boiserie made of slats, strips and bunts. A A pronounced shading parquet is lying all over the rooms to ensure space continuity, still supported by the ceiling colour. WalIpaper inserts and coatings typify the rooms and refine the inside.

In the attic, the same colour is lying on the resin floor, while a system of shelves and birch multi-layer surfaces articulate in height the space made of flaps and alcoves. Everything else is white, simple wall.

Also the layout of bedrooms and bathrooms has been designed according to clear approach rules, allowing the installation of different limitation elements and some other owned furniture. Fully in line with the global glamour of the project, the choice of Reverso collection by Ritmonio for the taps, in chrome finishing, brings out the soft and modern shapes of the mixers. A selection combining aesthetic and practical requirements of everyday life, creating a “tailor made” style even in the well-being room.

And finally, the 60 m2 terrace, facing the beautiful hills of Marche Region, has been furnished and completed. The result is a beautiful and functional house, up with the times and modern, to its fullest.
