A new composite diffuser for outdoor lighting
Our light fittings have the housing characteristics required in industrial environments that make them urban proof: resistance to pollution and intensive utilizations, robustness (IK10), durable imperviousness (IP68 and IP69K)… We are constantly improving them through their conception, selecting the best materials and inserting new technologies after our laboratory''s agreement.
Urban environments are demanding settings for functional or accent lighting. Indeed, light fittings must resist to pollution, UV and shocks with little maintenance. This is why SAMMODE launches a new type of composite diffuser especially designed for outdoor utilization. It is made up of a polycarbonate diffuser, protected by a coextruded methacrylate layer. This outer layer acts as a protective barrier against outer UV, preventing the polycarbonate not to yellow due to solar radiation and preserving its mechanical properties (IK10) over time.
