Ola20 by Pininfarina: authentic, elegant, timeless design

Produced uninterruptedly since 1990, Ola marks the beginning of Snaidero’s collaboration with Pininfarina group. It originates from the idea of a project that could interpret the social evolution of the Eighties, i.e. new functionality, visibility and status needs, giving up quite a standardised visual impact and ensuring in an innovative way the kitchen’s indispensable functions.

THE CURVE, EXPRESSING A NEW MODERNITY

Lightness, ergonomics, safety: features of a new domestic modernity which Ola20 is giving an answer again. Its soft shapes reconnect with engineering values inspired to safety as well as to the rational exploitation of spaces, with all due respect for contemporary lifestyle needs. Ola20, thanks to its aware and modern design, fully follows contemporary architecture’s evolution.

THE UNIQUENESS OF A SCULPTURAL SIGN

Modern production technologies enable to experiment the most innovative materials and the most innovative solutions for the domestic universe: the island and peninsula support thus comes with a sculptural design featuring a refined element developed by craftsmen in stratified and shaped wood, with a design that is Pininfarina’s unique feature.

MICALIZED VARNISH: SUSTAINABLE, SOBER AND FUNCTIONAL

Ola20, with its bent for research and experimentation, brings a new technology into the kitchen, that is typically derived from the automotive world: micalized lacquering. This innovative lacquering is got by using mica as a reflecting agent, i.e. a mineral that, mixed with varnish, creates a brightness that is very different from the one of the simple metallised effect. The effect is actually less reflecting and more transparent, so better-defined and smarter colourings are obtained. Last but not least, doors and the different compositional elements are much less sensitive to footprints and fingerprints and thus, they can be more easily cleaned.
