The role of the bathroom is forever evolving. The challenges are shifting - in terms of spatial requirements, functionality and country-specific aspects. Global trends such as demographic change, universal design, health, installations in existing buildings or the intensification of urban development have a major influence on the nature of the bathroom. An expert panel offered the internationally active planners an opportunity to exchange views about the challenges facing the bathroom of the future in an intercultural context.
