Crown Sydney

Sydney’s highest building with ALUMIL systems

The impressive project "Crown Sydney", whose construction started at 2016, will adorn Sydney from 2021 and on. The 75-storey skyscraper will be Sydney’s highest building with a height reaching 271 meters, offering an undoubtedly irresistible view of the city.

The building will be definitely a landmark for Sydney’s waterfront, not only because of its imposing size, but also due to its curved design, which contradicts the more linear-rectangular design logic of the rest of the buildings in the area. The tower will accommodate a casino, a luxurious hotel with 350 rooms, 80 modern apartments and also 610 parking spaces.

This impressive project is an inspiration of the world renowned British architectural office Wilkinson Eyre, which has also undertaken other famous big scale projects, like the 440 meters skyscraper «Guangzhou International Finance Center», one of the tallest in China.

The building is about to be equipped with the customized lift & slide system Μ45000 of ALUMIL, an ideal solution for covering large openings, and at the same time ensuring really high functionality thanks to the advanced sliding lifting mechanism. Furthermore, the system is certified based on the strictest Australian standards concerning water tightness, airtightness and resistance to wind load.

The undertaking of such a demanding large scale project by ALUMIL is reflecting its consolidation as one of the most advanced companies globally in the field of architectural aluminium systems, with expertise that know no borders.
