Arxellence 2: The Next Day

Arxellence 2 was endorsed by UIA and successfully completed in November 2020.

It reopened the discussion about the redesign of Thessaloniki’s urban space and created a platform full of ideas regarding the redevelopment of the city’s western waterfront through an innovative Central Business District.

In the three years that have passed since Arxellence 2, ALUMIL has undertaken a series of initiatives and actions so that the results can be transformed into a comprehensive masterplan and gradually and move to the level of implementation.

The latest development is that an institutional task force has been officially created, with the objective of "promoting and implementing Arxellence 2 in the Western Coastal Front of Thessaloniki", which includes:

/ The planning and coordination of the necessary actions and partnerships

/ Monitoring and accelerating the preparation and approval of the Special Urban Plan
