Thermor Enters the Air Conditioning Market with Nagano

Renowned for its expertise in electric heaters and domestic hot water solutions, Thermor expands its range of products by entering the air conditioning market.

In 2020, Thermor launched its “Nagano” wall-mounted air conditioning range. Following this, the brand has decided to expand its offer in 2021 with the arrival of consoles and cassettes in order to be able to address both the residential market and the small service sector.

The French brand Thermor of the Atlantic Group has been designing, manufacturing and marketing home comfort and well-being solutions for 90 years. Its two main activities are producing connected radiators and domestic hot water solutions; however, its new entry into the air conditioning market will take time.

Sales Director Dominique Tomada mentioned in an interview with the company’s press team that while Thermor has been experiencing strong growth for more than 10 years, positioning itself in the HVAC market will still present a challenge.

“We have the ambition to take a significant market share in renovation by 2025. To do this, we are strengthening our team of 60 sales representatives with a 1st phase of recruiting 5 air conditioning specialists. On the service side, we are also strengthening our teams with the recruitment of 4 technicians and trainers within the Thermor Assistance Pro team in Orléans.”

The 2-in-1 Nagano Air Conditioning Range

The Nagano reversible air conditioning range is a 2-in-1 solution for heating and cooling (from -20 ° C to 0 + 43C in summer and from -20 ° C in winter). It can maintain an ambient temperature in a single room (mono-split category) or several at a time, up to a maximum of 4 (in multi-split version), with a wide power range from 2,600 W to 7,000 W in mono and 4,000 to 7,800 W in muli-splits. It can heat up or cool down very quickly.

Thermor’s Nagano wall-mounted range is said to be one of the quietest on the market in its category. It can be remote controlled and is equipped with the Eco Pilot function whose integrated sensors make it possible to manage the airflow by monitoring, avoiding or detecting absence to achieve energy savings. Another strength of Nagano is performance

“Nagano’s energy classes are among the best on the market (SCOP up to 4.6 and SEER up to 8.5). These very good SCOPs allow our air / air heat pumps to be eligible for Energy Savings Certificates (EEC),” as explained by Angèle Leydier, air conditioning product manager, in an interview with the company’s press team.
