If the ambition of this blog is to give ideas based on inflatable structures, you will find this article to be an almost limitless source of inspiration.
I’ve gotten my hands on a new publication about inflatables, written by Jacobo Krauel and the publishing house, linksbooks.
Jacobo Krauel is a renowned architectural critic, author of a dozen books focused on the latest trends and applications in modern-day architecture. He is currently living in Barcelona where he is researching Gaudí’s work.
On this occasion, Krauel and his collaborators have conducted exhaustive and fascinating research in the field of architecture and inflatables design. The book takes the reader on a historical tour from the first zeppelins to futurist projects in various spheres where inflatables have been used: architecture, art, events and aeronautics.
The tour is organised according to the various mentioned segments and the protagonists are the dozens of architects, artists or experimenters who have been drawn into the world of inflatables. From each creator, one or several of his or her most emblematic projects have been selected, with fantastic photographs, detailed descriptions and even original plans and schematics from the designers.
More than one hundred projects from some 80 authors will inspire you for your future inflatable structures projects.
