Campus Luigi Einaudi - Classroom desks and tribune seating
The Luigi Einaudi Campus, home to the Department of Legal, Political and Socioeconomic Studies of the University of Turin, was designed by Norman Foster, one of the most prominent architects of the contemporary era. Located on the banks of the Dora river, in the former Italgas industrial park, it was named one of the ten most spectacular university buildings in the world by CNN. It consists of seven curvilinear buildings, whose unifying element is its large white reflective covering that is recognizable from every panoramic viewing spot in the city. The Campus has a capacity of up to eight thousand students and two thousand employees, and extends over a surface area of over 45,000 square meters. The great hall is furnished with Concerto armchairs equipped with a separate frontal anti-panic writing tablet. All the lecture halls are outfitted with Omnia Evolution classroom desks, each including its own electrical outlet.
