AUDITORIUMS AND MULTI-PURPOSE HALLS - Corsica, France
Auditorium of Pigna
A small auditorium in the Corsican village of Pigna hosts acoustic and vocal music recitals in an intimate space composed of a stage surmounted by a brick vault and a stepped tribune with separate entrance. The building was constructed using an Egyptian technique already present in the area: “terra cruda”, which employs unfired bricks made of compressed clay and lime, the optimal solution to improve the levels of thermal, hygrometric, and acoustic comfort. In the stalls, the original wooden seats of the tribune were replaced with Aresline Dyapason armchairs: these offer optimal sound absorption that does not vary with the presence or absence of a human body, and that feature a wooden frame behind the backrest and under the seat, a large opening under the solid armrest, and light padding.
