elZinc in Leed Certification

Nowadays, sustainable design forms an integral part of architecture and often constitutes one of the principal aims of the design process.

Zinc has numerous qualities that help architects achieve this aim, but many are unfortunately still unknown.

For this reason and in order to assist architects whose projects are to be LEED-certified, in elZinc we have made available a document describing how these qualities can be incorporated into the certification method.

LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is an international certification system based on the assessment and approval of a series of factors related to Green Building and alternative energies. It can be applied to any kind of new build or refurbishment project, in both the tertiary and residential sectors.

Thanks to its numerous advantages such as its complete recyclability or its longevity, titanium-zinc elZinc® can have an impact in up to 3 families of LEED® credits of your project and can contribute to gaining up to 7 points.

An environmental approach in construction is now regarded by many as being a necessity rather than a choice.
